Vegetation Control Service, Inc. prides itself on the quality of our professional and personal service. Initially founded in 1963 by Laurey Kenerson while working on his masters degree in forestry. VCS has a long history of using the most up-to-date equipment and techniques. For the purpose of achieving the highest possible degree of control and selectivity possible.
Our management staff comprises highly experienced, certified and licensed professionals, most of whom possess degrees in natural resource fields. In addition to this they keep current with all modern regulations, materials techniques as well as industry best practices. Several of our staff members are recognized authorities, in high demand to train and advise others both within the industry and for regulatory bodies. Furthermore all employees undergo continuing education to ensure that individual applicators and operators carry out their duties safely, effectively and in full compliance with all regulations and requirements.
Our professional staff has experience in forestry, arboriculture, invasive species control, old field reclamation, wildlife habitat management and consulting services.
In addition to the vegetation management and arboriculture services offered by VCS, Inc. the company has three DBA’s: Bay State Forestry Service, The Kenerson Group and Orange Saws. Bay State Forestry is a traditional forestry consulting firm offering services throughout central & western Massachusetts and southern & central New Hampshire. The Kenerson Group develops GIS-based management solutions for community foresters and utilities throughout the United States and abroad. Orange Saws is a full-service arboriculture, logging and yard equipment dealer in the North Quabbin region of Massachusetts.
